Fun game with a nice concept. Reminds me of a (now very old :P) game called Fury of the Furries.

This is a really good idea, congratulations!
I wonder if you might be able to design more complex/unusual levels if you allow players to switch between athletes with a keystroke, once they've met up in a level? The backtracking in some of the current levels isn't much fun, especially when you've got to do it multiple times in a row.
